  • 1. Where to find the test strip/Calibration code?
    You may find it ON the right bottom of the test strip vial. (e.g. #5 means Code: 5)
  • 2. How to set up Cholesterol Test Kit (meter) code/calibration code?
    Press and Hold the “on/off” button until the upper left side of the LCD shows “Cod”, then release the finger immediately. LCD shows “tri” at center and the Code Number at right upper corner. “Tri” means triglyceride. If you want to set up LDL, HDL, TC or other tests, please press the “on/off” button once at a time until it reaches your desired test. (TC means total cholesterol, UA means uric acid, GLU means glucose. UA and GLU in the Q. Check Lipid system are not available yet) Once it reaches your desired test, then press the “set” button once at a time to change Code Number to reach your desired Number. Once the desired Code number has been set, you can press the “on/off” button once a time until the machine turns off. This completes your meter code setting and you are ready to start your home testing.
  • 3. What are the common causes of reading error or do not match your hospital lab result?
    Not enough blood Squeeze fingertip too hard Strip code/calibration code does not match meter code Expired strip Finger is too cold Cholesterol changes with your diet throughout the day
  • 4. How to improve reading accuracy?
    Warm up your hand before testing Attach the lancet pen to your fingertip skin tightly, then push release button Remove the first drop of blood Gently squeeze fingertip till reach full drop of blood Place your finger at the bottom of the blood slot of your test strip and the blood will be automatically absorbed into the slot.
  • 5. What’s the range of cholesterol the meter can measure?
    LDL: 50-285 mg/dl; Triglyceride: 45-679 mg/dl; Total Cholesterol: 100-400; HDL: 27-120 mg/dL.
  • 6. What does “Hi” mean?
    That means the reading is too high to read. Reading Range: LDL 50-285 mg/dl; Triglyceride 45-679 mg/dl; Total Cholesterol: 100-400; HDL: 27-120 mg/dL.
  • 7. What does “LO” mean?
    That means the reading is too low to read. Reading Range: LDL: 50-285 mg/dl; Triglyceride: 45-679 mg/dl; Total Cholesterol: 100-400; HDL: 27-120 mg/dL.
  • 8. Why is there a difference between my lab cholesterol result and this home meter result?
    There are differences between the readings of whole blood and fingertip blood samples even the meter is adjusted to match the Lab. From thousands of tests, our results are within FDA allowed error range and match the curve of your lab result.
  • 9. What should I do if I see “Err” on display?
    Turn the meter off, re-turn it on Check the “test strip slot” on the meter to make sure there is no debris on it. Try a new strip. If the meter continues to show “Err”, please contact customer service (1-888-540-3597) for troubleshooting or replacement.
